3 Things You Need When Visiting Chicago
Chicago is a fun city. There are a lot of things to do and foods to try. It’s a great city to visit for solo travelers, friends, lovers, and families!
Living here for almost 2 years now and being an frequent visitor prior to locating here, here are some things I think are worth getting when visiting Chicago.
Spot Hero App:
Spot Hero is a discounted parking spot app. This is super convenient especially if you’ll be parking downtown. Parking garages can get expensive. With Spot Hero, you may pay $12 for your parking instead of $30, which I think that’s a total steal!
The app is free to use.
You can download the app, find the closest parking available to your location and reserve a spot. One of the things I like about the app is if you end up not parking at your reserved spot, you can just cancel.
Park Chicago App:
A lot of locals use this app, but it’s the street parking app. The app is especially convenient when you’re unsure how long you’ll be parked.
On all paid street parking, you’ll see the machine where you can manually pay for your parking. If you have the app, you can just pay for your parking through the app.
It’s very easy to use.
Download the app. Enter your license plate number. Enter the street code. Select duration. And you’re set. The most convenient part is that when you’re time is down to 10 minutes, it’ll send you a reminder on your phone. You can then add more time or start planning to leave.
If you plan to visit city attractions around the city, I highly recommend getting a Go City Pass. There are 2 different passes you can get depending on your trip. But the thing I love about the pass is you can save money by purchasing the pass instead of paying for individual tickets.
A few attractions are included in the pass: Skydeck Chicago, Hop-on-Hop-off Bus, Navy Pier Ferris Wheel and Rides, Field Museum, Architecture Tour (My personal Fave), and so much more!

Those are the 3 things I would recommend to anyone planning to visit Chicago. It’s a busy city but it’s a fun city.
