How I Plan My Week

Planner_Weekly+Planning+Page.jpg

I plan my weeks just as much as I do my day to day. Whatever my week looks like determines what my day-to-day will look like. This is really just a way to breakdown my monthly goals into more doable steps. Every Sunday I create time to plan out my week.

This is a breakdown of what I do at the start of every week. I also have it included in the Free Printable Planner bundle.

How do I want to Feel this week

I start out with this question because even if the week completely turns on me, at least I started the week with a good mentality. I typically write down 1-3 different emotions that I want to feel during the week. This is really to help me get into the right mindset more than anything.

3 Weekly Goals

What I like to do is look at the monthly goal and break that into doable goals/steps and write those down. I get pretty detailed here depending on the goal. For example, a weekly goal can be “Edit 3 blog posts and and schedule them to go out every Monday.”

I keep the weekly goals specific so that I know throughout the week what I need to do specifically.

Weekly Calendar

Here is a visual of the days ahead. For this section, I write down due dates (so the dates I want to complete specific tasks by), I write down meetings, appointments, and/or important dates.

This is the section I turn to when I do my daily planning exercise so I know what should go on my to-do list that specific day, which is extremely helpful!

Those are the things I do for my weekly planning. This exercise is something I know has helped me to be more organized and productive throughout the week, so I hope you’ll find it helpful too! Free free to try this exercise using whatever tool you already have.
